LabsforKidz is an educational initiative dedicated to fostering early interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) among young learners. We focus on delivering engaging, hands-on learning experiences that encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in children.
Through interactive experiments, guided activities, and structured programs, LabsforKidz creates an environment where students can explore scientific concepts in a practical and accessible way. Our curriculum is designed to simplify complex ideas, making them approachable for elementary and middle school students while maintaining educational rigor.
Based in the Ellicott City area, we have already hosted our first successful community event and are actively growing. We believe every child deserves access to quality STEM education, regardless of background or resources.
๐ We're looking for volunteers and host sites! If you're interested in partnering with us or volunteering, reach out below โ let's bridge gaps together.
The people making it happen

From our first community lab to the exciting events ahead.
Our inaugural event brought hands-on science to the Ellicott City community! We hosted a free lab experience for Kโ8 students at the Miller Branch Library, where kids explored science through our custom lab kits. With guided experiments and interactive learning stations, students got to dive into real STEM concepts in an engaging, pressure-free environment.
We brought an interactive lab exhibit to CLES, giving young students a chance to experience science first-hand! Kids rotated through 4 different hands-on lab stations, each exploring a distinct STEM concept through guided experiments and activities. The event wrapped up with an exciting science trivia session that put students' knowledge to the test in a fun, competitive setting.
We're planning our next community lab event and can't wait to share the details! Follow us and check back here for announcements on upcoming dates, locations, and what we have in store. More experiments, more fun, more science!
